Hi, this is my first posting.
My name is Andrey Lvovsky and I am a risk manager. I worked at a large hedge fund, prior to that in a large FOF and currently am looking for a risk/quant job. What this blog is about? It is about three topics:
- Risk management (especially in HF/FOF) and quantitative methods in finance
- My job search during the Fall of 2009 and whatever I learn down the road
- Whatever else I find interesting enough to talk/think/write about
I am also an MBA and MS in Math degrees holder, a husband and a father of two, martial arts practitioner and an amateur math teacher. And yes, I am also a Star Trek (Original Series) fan, as anybody who is also a fan would easily deduce that since the title of this blog is a well-known quote from the episode “Return to Tomorrow”.
